4 Keys to Consistent Business and Engineering Success

Synopsis:

It has been reported in business that as many 70% of Businesses execute Strategic Initiatives poorly and Gallup reported in 2014 that 68.5% of employees are poorly engaged. The third Key to Consistent Success is a structured system called “The 4 Disciplines of Execution,” (4DX) which provides the “how to” execute whatever strategy is needed in any company.

Businesses often know what strategy is needed for a specific operational improvement. The challenge is “how to” execute initiatives successfully and maintain a newer and higher operating level. This requires incorporation of disciplines that will make fundamental changes to the culture of the business. For this to be successful, there must be a way to convince employees to buy into the new approach.

Come learn how this can happen and then be made a permanent part of how a company can be consistently successful. The beautiful side effect of 4 DX is that employees become more engaged by taking responsibility for their work and the success of their team or department. This kind of environment energizes company growth.

About Phillip Beatty, MS, EdD

Phillip’s first five professional careers contributed to his work today as a Performance Business consultant. After earning a Geophysical Engineer degree and a Commission in the US Army Corps of Engineers at Colorado School of Mines, he completed his Army career as a company commander in a Construction Engineer Battalion deployed to Vietnam. He worked as a Geophysicist for Shell Oil Company and learned how to find oil and gas. He cut his teeth as an entrepreneur by putting together an oil and gas exploration partnership and found over 2 million barrels of oil in the Michigan Basin.

He sold his interest in the company and earned a Masters in Economics thinking he would get back into the oil business, but in 1986 when the price of oil was $10/barrel, he began a sales career in Life Insurance and Inside Sales in a steel manufacturing company where he learned the basics of Continuous Quality Improvement. He then transitioned into teaching Management and doing academic administration in adult education at the University level while earning a doctorate in higher education.

All of this laid the foundation for what he does as Performance Business Consultant. At heart Phillip Beatty is an encourager and is energized by being a catalyst in the lives of others helping them to reach their full potential personally and professionally.
