This month I would like to share with you the new vision and mission of EST. I believe it is vitally important to constantly discuss our vision and to share it with as many people as we can reach. We are doing great things at EST through our members and volunteers with the following being the foundation for everything we do. I hope it resonates with you and makes you want to get more involved in advancing Tulsa’s engineering community through EST membership.
WHO WE ARE
The Engineers’ Society of Tulsa is an innovative and modern engineering society with members representing all disciplines of the engineering profession as well as allied fields.

Business
EST focuses on the continual education of its members, primarily by developing the “soft skills” related to great leadership. By connecting members with industry leaders, EST is providing local professionals the opportunity to develop contacts for exponential professional growth. In addition, EST is sharing the best practices of Tulsa’s most successful companies by engaging in speaking events and providing the opportunity to participate in site visits.
Community
EST seeks to impact the Tulsa community by organizing and participating in charitable service events. This provides an opportunity to enrich the local community, ensuring Tulsa remains one of the best cities to work, live and play. EST believes that maintaining our community will help us to retain existing local businesses and entice others to bring their talent and organizations to Tulsa.
STEM
EST currently collaborates with the Tulsa Engineering Foundation (TEF) and allied societies to participate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) events. Our upcoming portfolio of STEM activities will include: sponsorship of the Sand Springs Downhill Derby, participation in the Tulsa Engineering Challenge Competition, sponsoring a table at the Student/Professional Engineer’s Week Breakfast & Career Seminar, sponsorship of a FirstRobotics Team, and providing creative services to non-profit organizations to promote STEM.
In the future, EST plans to partner with local and nationwide school-based STEM outreach programs to develop future engineers and leaders.
