"Engineering professionals employ mathematical and scientific principles to develop effective solutions to real-world, technical problems." (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, United State Department of Labor). However, ask them to figure out why 3 of their co-workers can't get along or how to eradicate patterns of poor communication and they typically don't do so well.
Dr. Nathan Baxter has been working with leaders from a variety of industries and on many occasions has worked with engineers helping them better understand the "math and science" of human relationships. Through the use of the Birkman® tool, he has been able to teach people how they are "hard wired" and how to better understand others who have different wiring. His presentation focus on how to know your stress triggers and relational needs and how to understand those with which you work.
